The position open is for the Director of Food & Beverage at the Boeing Center at Tech Port, a vital facility under Legends Global's management. This is a full-time, exempt role reporting directly to the General Manager. The Director of Food & Beverage plays a crucial leadership role by managing, directing, and coordinating daily activities and the overall effectiveness of the Food and Beverage team throughout the facility. This role demands a hands-on leader who ensures that all food and beverage operations meet quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction standards.

The Director is responsible for overseeing food and beverage services across multiple departments including catering, concessions, culinary teams, and sub-contractors. The role involves marketing food and beverage offerings, creating sales projections, budgeting, and developing event work plans which include scheduling and managing procurement processes. The leader in this position not only supervises but also strategically evaluates costs, labor, and service performance to meet monthly goals and drive continuous growth of the food and beverage division. This includes setting benchmarks aligned with achieving strong per capita performance metrics.

The Director monitors and maintains all equipment used in food service, working collaboratively with vendors to repair and upgrade as necessary. Analytical skills are essential as the role demands evaluating operational data such as sales, attendance, and labor costs to inform budget planning and cost control measures. Additionally, the position requires managing subordinate teams with a focus on human resources functions including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions following company policies and legal requirements.

This leadership role requires extensive experience in food and beverage management, preferably at a director level, with a strong background in catering management and a preference for culinary and procurement experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a multi-unit facility environment, demonstrating superior customer service skills and a proven track record of exceeding quality standards. Organizational prowess, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills complete the profile needed to excel in this dynamic and impactful position.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum five years' experience in a food and beverage management role
  • catering management experience required
  • ability to manage multi-unit facilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in food and beverage management or related field preferred
  • minimum five years' experience in food and beverage management level, director preferred
  • catering management experience required

Job Duties

  • Markets food and beverage services to clients and establishes food and beverage control
  • creates food and beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events
  • develop event work plans including scheduling and ordering and assigning appropriate duties to subordinates
  • reviews procurement needs submitted by each facility manager to determine that sufficient items are ordered weekly
  • oversee subcontractor agreements, planning, recruiting, sanitation, performance and compliances
  • meet COG and labor goals monthly
  • inspect and maintain all food service equipment
  • work with vendors to preserve, repair and improve as required by service standards
  • analyze facility operation information such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and maintain cost control
  • set goals for the overall food and beverage team and sub-department managers to achieve efficiencies and growth
  • create and provide proformas, market comparisons, budgets, forecasting and other reports to measure the business analytically
