Job Requirements
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
- Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Position may require driving responsibilities including use of company or personal vehicle
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must satisfactorily meet and comply with Company motor vehicle policy standards

Job Duties
- Responsibly manages and supervises all Culinary Services staff including scheduling, assignment, direction, performance review and hiring
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to confirm high satisfaction levels
- Work with the restaurant manager or coordinator to provide high levels of customer service and a restaurant style dining atmosphere
- Confirm front of house and back of house staff work closely together to exceed food product expectations
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with operations as needed including working all stations
- Work with Executive Director and frontline staff to maintain department Customer Satisfaction and Quality Enhancement levels
- Delegate tasks to maintain kitchen and restaurant cleanliness and quality
- Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to Company standards and health codes
- Maintain Employee Satisfaction scores
- Interview and hire Culinary Services staff
- Conduct and participate in monthly department meetings and in-services
- Maintain monthly and annual department budget documentation
- Plan and develop recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgets
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
- Maintain purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- Plan and execute Engage Life events, banquets, and themed meals
- Collaborate with Community Sales Director to market the community through Taste of Atria Road Shows and Signature Items
- Ensure kitchen and restaurant staff understand company expectations and first impression requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
