Job Description

Atria Senior Living is a distinguished leader in the senior living industry, with a commitment to creating communities where both employees and residents can thrive. Renowned for its exceptional care and supportive environments, Atria Senior Living operates a family of brands dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults. With a focus on compassionate service and innovative care solutions, the company has established itself as a trusted provider in the senior living sector. Employees at Atria benefit from a culture that emphasizes professional growth, work-life balance, and a supportive, engaging workplace.

This role is an exciting opportunity within Atria Senior Living to join a team-oriented and mission-driven company. As a key member of the community, the position offers an outstanding benefits package including paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), health insurance, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and a retirement savings plan with a 401(k) employer match. For employees based in the United States, tuition reimbursement opportunities are also available. These benefits reflect Atria's dedication to their workforce's well-being and ongoing development.

The role focuses on managing the day-to-day operations and staffing of the kitchen and dining venues within an Atria Senior Living community. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of culinary services and customer satisfaction. This involves managing culinary staff through effective scheduling, performance reviews, hiring, and when necessary, corrective action, all aligned with company policies. Maintaining strong communication with residents, family members, and other staff members is a critical aspect of the role to ensure that satisfaction levels remain high and that the dining experience reflects the welcoming and restaurant-style atmosphere Atria is known for.

Additionally, this position requires collaboration with the restaurant manager or coordinator to uphold superb customer service standards and to foster a cooperative environment where front-of-house and back-of-house teams work seamlessly to deliver exceptional food quality. The role also involves direct assistance to kitchen and restaurant staff when necessary, showcasing a hands-on approach to leadership.

Financial stewardship is another vital component, as the role includes responsibilities such as budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing oversight. The successful candidate will maintain budget control, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and maintain positive relationships with vendors. The culinary manager will participate in planning menus based on resident preferences and budget considerations and will lead the team in maintaining cleanliness and operational quality in all kitchen and dining areas.

Beyond these operational duties, the position encompasses organizing special events, banquets, and themed meals that enrich the community's social life. Marketing collaboration with the Community Sales Director to promote the community through unique culinary events is also expected, emphasizing the impactful role the culinary services have in community engagement.

Overall, this position offers an influential role within Atria Senior Living to contribute directly to a positive and enriching living environment for seniors, combining leadership, culinary expertise, customer service, and operational excellence within a respected and supportive organization.
