Job Requirements
- Five years or more culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Compliance with company motor vehicle policy standards
- Ability to resolve dissatisfied customer and employee issues

- Ability to resolve dissatisfied customer and employee issues
- Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards

- Possess valid driver’s license and comply with company motor vehicle policies
Job Duties
- Manage day to day operations and staffing for kitchen and dining venues
- Supervise Culinary Services staff including scheduling, assignment, direction, performance review, hiring, and corrective actions
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with restaurant manager or coordinator to provide high customer service levels and create a restaurant style dining atmosphere
- Ensure front of house and back of house staff work closely to exceed food product expectations
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with back and front of house operations
- Maintain cleanliness and quality standards in kitchen and restaurant areas
- Ensure food preparation, storage, and service comply with company and health code standards
- Interview, hire, and conduct monthly department meetings and in-services
- Manage monthly and annual culinary services budgets including food, supplies, and labor documentation
- Plan and develop recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgets
- Maintain proper equipment use and kitchen supply inventory
- Ensure purchasing standards and vendor relationships are upheld
- Plan and execute Engage Life events, special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Work with community sales and staff to market the community through food-related events
- Communicate company expectations and first impression requirements to kitchen and restaurant staff
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
