This position is based in Garden Grove, California, at Safran Cabin’s state-of-the-art facility. It is a full-time and permanent role offering a competitive salary range from $133,230 to $209,360, depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors. The role reports directly to the Director of Operations and plays a vital role within the Continuous Improvement team, focusing on operational excellence across the Cabin Division.
The Director, Continuous Improvement at Safran Cabin is a senior leadership role entrusted with guiding and managing key initiatives in operational and continuous improvement strategies. The successful candidate will coordinate and lead continuous improvement activities that align with Safran Group’s methodologies such as Lean-Sigma and One SAFRAN, driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. This role serves as a critical interface among the Cabin Division, Safran Cabin branch, and the global Safran Group CI organizations, ensuring that all efforts are harmonized and effective.
Key responsibilities include leading Lean and Continuous Improvement projects, developing strategic master plans aligned with corporate goals, driving operational excellence initiatives, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. This position also plays an essential role in advancing the QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) maturity across the site by deploying and monitoring improvement initiatives and actively promoting a culture of continuous improvement through communication and training.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration
- More than 8 years experience in continuous improvement manufacturing supply chain production quality engineering or project management
- Fluent in English
- Ability to travel as required
- Full-time permanent employment status
- Experience leading large-scale projects
- Ability to work in a diverse and international setting
- Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration
- Master's degree preferred
- Over 8 years experience in continuous improvement manufacturing supply chain production quality engineering project or program management and NPI
- Prior management or lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Understanding of Safran group management systems processes and organizations
- Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering best practices
- Experience in change management within complex organizations
- Understanding of techno-economic management and performance metrics
- Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools
- Lean Black Belt certification preferred
- Strong leadership and cross-functional management skills
- Ability to operate in multidisciplinary and international environments
- Excellent communication presentation and facilitation skills
- Advanced program management capabilities
- Ability to motivate and influence teams with and without direct authority

Job Duties
- Lead Lean and continuous improvement projects coordinating team efforts to achieve operational excellence goals
- Develop and maintain project master plans aligned with Safran Group's guidelines and company vision measuring progress and performance
- Initiate and drive operational excellence initiatives supported by data analysis within the Cabin Division
- Serve as a key enabler by integrating people process and technology following project management best practices
- Promote Safran's continuous improvement vision translating it into divisional strategy
- Act as the focal point representing the Cabin Division's interests to the Safran CI Group
- Coach mentor and train team members in Lean Sigma methodology and tools
- Communicate changes progress and performances effectively
- Manage standardization and documentation for continuous improvement aligning with Safran group best practices
- Plan design direct and cascade QRQC standards adjusting as necessary
- Support leadership teams in identifying QRQC objectives
- Audit and analyze QRQC deployment relative to standards
- Develop promote and drive a sustainable continuous improvement culture based on safety quality and operational excellence
