Job Description

Chick-fil-A, a leader in the fast-food industry and recognized as America's number one fast food restaurant, is more than just a restaurant chain. Founded in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy and his brother Ben with the opening of The Dwarf Grill in Atlanta, Chick-fil-A has grown to become the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States based on annual system-wide sales. The company prides itself on a strong commitment to its core values, exceptional customer service, and community involvement, with many of its restaurants operated by independent franchised business owners who invest deeply in their teams and local communities.

Joining Chick-fil-A as a Director is a unique leadership opportunity where leadership goes beyond a title—it's a calling. Chick-fil-A Directors are passionate leaders who embrace the company’s culture and lead with a servant’s heart, setting the tone for their entire restaurant. This role is vital in ensuring daily operations run smoothly while fostering an environment in which both guests and team members feel cared for and valued.

As a Director at Chick-fil-A, you lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, actively engaging in day-to-day operations while demonstrating strong character and initiative with urgency and excellence. Your leadership influences the guest experience, the workplace environment, and the growth and development of your team members. You are responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, leading shifts, coaching new hires, and building future leaders. Clear communication skills and a positive attitude are essential to effectively guide your team and uphold the Chick-fil-A standard of hospitality.

Chick-fil-A offers Directors a fun, positive work environment with flexible scheduling, including every Sunday off, competitive pay starting at $17 an hour, and opportunities for growth and leadership training. Additionally, scholarship opportunities support team members' academic and career goals, while intentional development prepares you for the next step in your leadership journey.

This role requires a strong commitment to food safety, operational excellence, and customer service. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic leaders who smile, make eye contact, and speak with genuine enthusiasm, along with strong people skills and a passion for serving others. Experience in leadership roles such as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, or restaurant manager is preferred, as well as reliability in transportation and availability for a flexible full-time schedule.

Working at Chick-fil-A is more than just a job; it’s a chance to grow professionally while contributing to a company that values teamwork, leadership development, and community impact. Directors play an essential role in maintaining Chick-fil-A’s position as a top performer in the industry and as a favorite among guests nationwide.
