The organization is committed to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to live more independently and lead fulfilling lives based on their own interests, strengths, and choices. Aspire specializes in providing person-centered services that evolve with the needs of the people they support, including education, behavioral health, residential care, and community-based supports. This mission-driven organization focuses on fostering an inclusive environment that promotes growth, development, and community integration for everyone they serve.

Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join their residential support team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by assisting them with daily living activities such as household chores, meal preparation, recreational and learning activities, and physical fitness routines. The DSP acts as an advocate and representative for the individuals served, ensuring their needs, wants, and interests are communicated effectively and incorporated into personalized program planning and implementation. This position requires excellent communication skills, empathy, enthusiasm, and a true passion for helping others.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting, strong basic computer skills with familiarity in Therap software considered a plus, and a valid driver’s license with at least three years of driving experience. Working as a DSP at Aspire Living & Learning not only provides the chance to contribute positively to the lives of those supported but also offers opportunities for professional growth and development within an encouraging environment. The starting pay for this role is $18.35 per hour, with a pay increase available upon medication certification.

Aspire also champions diversity, equity, and inclusion within its workforce and encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds, including people of color, LGBTQ individuals, women, people with disabilities, and those from working-class origins. This commitment reflects in the organization’s culture, ensuring a supportive and respectful workplace for all employees.
