The Dining Worker position at River Trail Dining is a part-time role with a starting wage of $14.73 per hour. This role supports the Culinary Services team by providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of food stations, salad, beverage, and dessert areas, as well as dish room activities. The position is supervised by full-time team members who provide guidance and assist dining workers during their shifts. Duties assigned to dining workers may change throughout a shift depending on operational needs, providing a dynamic work environment and opportunities to learn various facets of food service. The Dining Worker plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience for residents and guests by maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and working efficiently under supervision. They must be adaptable, customer-oriented, and capable of working respectfully within a diverse community. Job Requirements
- Must be able to work at least two shifts during the week and one shift every weekend
- must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- must be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population
- must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- must be available for weekend shifts
- must adhere to MSU employment guidelines regarding maximum hours
