The position of Server at Cogir Senior Living plays a crucial role in shaping the dining experience within the community restaurant. This role is responsible for creating welcoming and professional interactions during meal services and special events, ensuring that all residents enjoy delicious and or comprehensive meals aligned with their dietary needs and personal preferences. As a Server, you act as a vital connection between the kitchen and the residents, promoting communication and providing feedback that helps maintain high standards of food quality and service.

Job Requirements

  • At least 6-12 months of experience in a serving, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus
  • previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is highly desirable
  • availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • must commit to following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere
  • take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly
  • ensure meals are served in accordance with residents’ dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests
  • ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile
  • prepare the dining room before each meal service by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware
  • clear tables promptly after meals, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • reset tables for the next meal service
  • communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff
  • follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages
  • ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards
