Job Description

Sedgebrook Senior Living is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and promoting a vibrant lifestyle for its residents. At Sedgebrook, employees have a unique opportunity to engage closely with the inspiring life stories of seniors while being part of an innovative company that values its workforce and invests in their growth and well-being. This environment fosters a sense of purpose and fulfillment beyond the typical job experience, emphasizing not only professional development but also meaningful personal connections. The company is committed to offering stability through consistent schedules alongside competitive compensation and benefits, making it a desirable workplace for individuals passionate about hospitality and senior care.

The Dining Room Supervisor role at Sedgebrook Senior Living is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing and enhancing the daily food service operations within both the Dining Room and Bistro settings. This full-time, non-exempt role offers a pay range of $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, along with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. Scheduled from Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, this role totals 37.5 hours per week, providing work-life balance and consistency.

As the Dining Room Supervisor, you will step into a hands-on leadership position similar to that of a Restaurant Supervisor or Front-of-House Supervisor. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction, service quality, and operational excellence within the dining areas. You will lead the front-of-house dining operations, managing daily restaurant-style service including opening, closing, and shift coverage. A crucial aspect of your role involves supervising, coaching, and motivating the dining and bistro teams to uphold service efficiency, professionalism, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

The position requires a strong leader capable of supporting staff scheduling, onboarding, and training, while also acting as a floor leader during service to provide direct supervision and operational support. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth service flow and handling high-volume periods, special events, and banquets with professionalism and organization. Additionally, proficiency with POS systems like Toast, Micros, or Aloha is essential, as you will support system operation, troubleshoot issues, and guide staff in its use.

This role is ideal for candidates with prior experience as Shift Leads or Lead Servers seeking a stable and rewarding career in senior living hospitality. Sedgebrook Senior Living provides an inclusive, team-oriented workplace where your leadership not only contributes to the success of the dining service but also enhances the quality of life for residents through exceptional guest interactions and service excellence. Join Sedgebrook and be part of an extraordinary life, where your contributions truly matter and are valued.
