The position available at Dial involves assisting with meal and beverage service, ensuring a clean and pleasant dining environment, and engaging with residents to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Employees will serve residents meals, take and close out orders efficiently using Dial's designated point of sale system, and assist residents throughout their dining experience. The role requires setting and resetting tables for meals, informing residents about daily menu options, and addressing them by name to cater to their individual food and beverage preferences. Additionally, the position includes preparing and serving beverages, maintaining hydration stations, clearing and bussing tables, and vacuuming the dining room to maintain cleanliness.

Job Duties

  • Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience
  • Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system
  • Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals
  • Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal
  • Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu
  • Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes
  • Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident
  • Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled
  • Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished
  • Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel
  • Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
  • Other duties as assigned
