Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- A food handler card/Serve Safe or ability to obtain with an understanding of kitchen and dining sanitation and food codes
- At least four years of full-cycle food service experience in an upscale dining environment is required
- Two years of supervisory or front-of-house/dining room management experience is preferred
- Previous experience in senior living is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player attitude, proven leadership, and skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Direct and manage all food and beverage staff for front-of-house operations
- Ensure resident satisfaction through a top-notch dining experience
- Provide initial and ongoing training for dining room staff including servers and support personnel
- Prepare weekly schedules, adjust for community events, and maintain budget controls
- Monitor table assignments and seating arrangements to accommodate resident needs and preferences
- Organize and oversee special dining events, holiday celebrations, and themed meals
- Assist in maintaining inventory control of food, alcohol, supplies, and equipment
- Monitor all food handling procedures and service flow
- Order and manage inventory of dining room supplies including linens, utensils, and tableware
- Build strong relationships with residents, addressing feedback, concerns, or special requests
- Provide a safe and comfortable work environment while adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Cover shifts resulting from call-offs
- Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir Senior Living standards
