The Dining Room Lead Server role at Belmont Village Senior Living is central to providing an exceptional dining experience for its residents. This full-time or part-time position places the Lead Server in a pivotal role where they collaborate closely with the Dining Room Manager and fellow servers to ensure a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere during every meal service and special event. The Lead Server not only delivers hands-on service by attending to assigned tables with attentiveness and personalized care but also takes on a leadership role in supervising servers in the manager's absence and organizing special dining events. Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • At least 1 year of prior experience as a restaurant server with knowledge of dining etiquette
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task, actively listen, and work collaboratively with team members
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a willingness to learn in a hands-on, hospitality-focused role

Job Duties

  • Supervise and support servers in the dining room manager's absence
  • Deliver attentive, personalized service to assigned tables in the in-house restaurant
  • Accurately take orders and respond to menu inquiries
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
  • Ensure food orders are presented at correct temperature and with appealing presentation
  • Prepare and set up dining area for service including utensils and condiments
  • Collaborate with residents and departments to plan and execute special dining events
  • Assist dining room manager with room service operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area and ensure guest needs are met throughout meal service
