This full-time position, with a pay rate of approximately $25.86/hour and a shift schedule from 2:30 pm to 11 pm Tuesday through Friday and 9 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, is designed for individuals committed to safety, skill development, and teamwork in a thriving industry.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Comfort using tools
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and comply with management guidelines and safety policies
  • Ability to perform work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Maintain a current driver qualification file as required by DOT regulations
  • Willingness to work required schedule and location
  • Ability to pass background screening, drug screen, and physical as required by DOT
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Willingness to travel locally for training

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
  • Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Performing preventative maintenance repairs such as tire replacement or rotation, vehicle component lubrication and replacements, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
  • Partnering with managers to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
  • Working on assigned projects and tasks as directed by supervisors
