The position available is for a Technician I-III or Apprentice within KAG’s diesel mechanics team. This vital role involves performing general property and vehicle maintenance and repair duties within the company’s fast-paced shop operations. Diesel mechanics at KAG are responsible for ensuring that all commercial vehicles, including tank trailers, are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards. The role necessitates a meticulous approach to diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance, aimed at minimizing downtime and optimizing fleet performance.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday role from 9am to 5pm, offering an hourly wage ranging from $18 to $30. Job Requirements
- valid driver's license
- air brake certification (FMSCR 396.25) or 1 plus year of verifiable experience and ability to obtain
- motor vehicle air conditioning repair (EPA 609) or ability to obtain
- commercial motor vehicle inspector 3 years experience or 1 year experience and ability to obtain
- ability to safely perform maintenance and repair duties in a fast-paced shop environment
Job Qualifications
- 1 - 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair
- knowledge of preventative maintenance and repair of Class 5 - 8 commercial vehicles
- experience with tank trailer inspection
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
