Job Description

Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) stands as a beacon of cultural enrichment and artistic innovation located at the World Trade Center site in New York City. Opened in the fall of 2023, PAC NYC emerged from a visionary community and civic planning process following the events of 9/11, which envisioned a vibrant performing arts center as a cornerstone of the World Trade Center master plan. Today, PAC NYC encompasses three flexible and intimate performance spaces where it produces and presents diverse projects across theatre, dance, music, and chamber opera genres. It is a dynamic institution fostering an inclusive environment where art and community intersect, aiming to celebrate life, inspire conversation, and affirm the bonds among New York City’s five boroughs and beyond. The center is proud to showcase creative expression from a global array of artists while maintaining a strong local connection and mission to trade ideas through the arts.

At PAC NYC, the Development Events Manager role is pivotal in advancing the institution's mission of creating meaningful connections between extraordinary artists and communities. This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and disability insurance, as well as paid time off and 401K retirement benefits with employer match. The Development Events Manager will play a strategic and hands-on role in planning and executing 20 to 30 donor events yearly, ensuring these events not only meet but exceed fundraising goals. As a key member of the Development team, the role involves cultivating relationships with donors and partners, delivering world-class stakeholder experiences, and managing event logistics, budgets, and resources effectively.

This position requires a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about the performing arts. The Development Events Manager will lead major fundraising events such as the annual Gala and work closely with senior leadership across departments to support PAC NYC’s fundraising strategies. Responsibilities also include managing a Development Events Coordinator, overseeing vendor contracts, and orchestrating complex logistical details to ensure flawless event execution. Beyond the operational aspects, the manager will be responsible for donor intelligence and prospect research, preparing leadership briefing materials, and maintaining robust donor records and follow-up plans to support ongoing cultivation and engagement.

Through this role, the Development Events Manager will significantly contribute to PAC NYC’s mission by enhancing donor engagement and strengthening community ties. The position offers a unique opportunity to be part of an institution at the forefront of performing arts innovation and cultural exchange, dedicated to fostering inclusivity and excellence. PAC NYC encourages applications from diverse candidates committed to contributing to an equitable and inclusive workplace, reflecting its core values and commitment to equal employment opportunity. Join PAC NYC and become part of a vibrant team dedicated to elevating the arts and creating lasting community impact through thoughtful and effective fundraising event management.
