The Perelman Performing Arts Center, known as PAC NYC, is a dynamic cultural institution located at the northeast corner of the World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. Officially opened on September 13, 2023, PAC NYC serves as a vibrant hub for the performing arts.

Design and Facilities

Designed by the architectural firm REX, PAC NYC is a striking 129,000-square-foot building characterized by its distinctive marble and glass exterior.

The structure features three flexible, intimate performance spaces: the John E. Zuccotti Theater, the Mike Nichols Theater, and the Doris Duke Theater. Each can host audiences ranging from 99 to 1,200 people and can be combined or configured to accommodate various types of performances.

Since its opening, PAC NYC has hosted a wide variety of events such as dance festivals, choral concerts, thought-provoking conversations, and DJ events.

Its inaugural season featured productions like "Watch Night," an opera by Tamar-kali and Marc Bamuthi Joseph, and "CATS: The Jellicle Ball," a reimagined classic musical.

Looking ahead, PAC NYC plans to develop 25 new works over five years as part of its "The Democracy Cycle" series, with the first eight pieces produced during the 2024–2025 season.
