This means that while the franchisee has the rights to use McDonald’s logos and food products and operates under McDonald’s standards, the franchisee itself is a separate company and your employer will be the franchisee rather than McDonald’s USA. All employment-related decisions, including hiring, firing, scheduling, and discipline, are handled solely by the franchisee. McDonald’s USA does not control employment matters at this restaurant and will not have access to your application or involvement in employment decisions.
