This role is for a Department Manager position within a corporate-owned McDonald's restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. Department Managers play a crucial role in ensuring that the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, meeting customer expectations for fast, accurate, and friendly service. These managers lead weekly shifts, overseeing crew members and other managers, and take on responsibilities that may include managing systems like training, food safety, inventory management, and more. Depending on the department – Guest Service, Kitchen, or People – the manager will have specific duties to ensure excellent customer service, food quality, safety, and staff hiring and training.

Department Managers are integral to the success of McDonald's operations. For example, the Guest Service Department Manager ensures that all team members deliver excellent customer service while maintaining an organized and efficient front counter and Drive-Thru area. The Kitchen Department Manager focuses on food quality and safety while managing costs and ensuring staff adhere to production procedures. The People Department Manager handles recruitment, training, scheduling, and motivation of the crew to meet sales and profit goals. Managers must be positive team players with flexible schedules who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally in restaurants, retail, or hospitality industries, and candidates must be at least 18 years old.
