This franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's logos and food products in the operation of the restaurant, but is an entirely separate company and employer. Employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling, are the responsibility of the franchisee alone, not McDonald's USA. The role being offered is for a Department Manager position within the restaurant.
