This job opportunity is for a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver, a role essential to the smooth operation of the country’s food supply system. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 during the first year, with compensation based on performance paid for every stop, cube, and mile after training. The role provides weekends off, night dispatches starting at 4 PM, and involves night driving duties. The Driver plays a crucial role as the face of the company, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Apart from driving duties, the role entails operational responsibilities such as performing pre-trip and post-trip safety checks, inspecting equipment, securing freight, completing necessary paperwork accurately, loading and unloading goods, conducting damage control checks, obtaining delivery confirmations and signatures, and following proper procedures for returns and damaged items. Accurate record keeping and adherence to DOT regulations regarding hours of service are also critical to this position.

Working as part of a team, the Driver will interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure smooth deliveries and answer queries promptly. The role demands physical capability to handle freight lifting and use of equipment like hand trucks, lift gates, and other tools for moving and stacking products safely. Freight sizes may vary significantly, often ranging from 10 to 35 pounds, but occasionally up to between 60 and 90 pounds depending on the location.
