Delivery Driver - Urgent Hire

This is a full-time delivery driver position with a third-party delivery company responsible for delivering Amazon packages. This role offers competitive pay at $20.50 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Typical shifts are 10 hours long, with a standard 4-day workweek totaling 30 to 40 hours. The schedule follows a rotation format designed to avoid working more than 4 consecutive days, allowing drivers more personal time. Most work is done during daytime hours, but there is potential to work second shifts if desired. Drivers receive at least two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute meal break per shift. There are also opportunities for performance-based incentives and bonuses. Benefits include medical insurance and paid time off that begins accruing immediately upon starting employment. Equipment provided for this role includes a delivery vehicle with gas, handheld technology for navigation and package scanning, uniforms, and other necessary safety and administrative gear.

Drivers are expected to successfully handle and deliver packages on time while adhering to safety regulations and performing vehicle inspections. They must maintain excellent customer service, even under stressful conditions, and keep pace with the physically demanding nature of the job, including lifting packages up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions. Effective communication with the support team is crucial to ensure smooth delivery operations. Drivers also assist with loading and unloading packages and support other team members as needed, including during rescue calls. This position requires use of smart phone devices for GPS navigation, scanning packages, clocking in and out, and communication with supervisors and fellow team members.
