Job Description

Room & Board is a premier modern furniture and home decor retailer recognized for its commitment to creating beautiful, well-made products paired with exceptional customer service. Established with a clear mission to help customers create homes they love, Room & Board focuses on timeless designs, sustainable practices, and quality craftsmanship. Headquartered in Golden Valley, Minnesota, the company has cultivated a reputation for delivering American-made home furnishings that are both stylish and built to last. Room & Board prides itself not only on its distinctive products but also on fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and employee well-being. This well-rounded approach positions the company as a standout employer in the retail industry, combining career growth opportunities with meaningful work.

As a Delivery Driver at Room & Board, you will play a crucial role in creating extraordinary experiences for customers. This role transcends the typical delivery position by combining high-quality customer interaction with hands-on involvement in the warehouse setting. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will contribute to both the operational and service excellence the company is known for. Your workday will consist of a balanced blend of local deliveries throughout the Twin Cities area, teaming up with a partner to safely transport and deliver quality furniture, and performing indoor duties such as product staging, assembly, and quality inspection. This variety keeps the role dynamic and engaging.

You will be integrated into a small, dynamic three-person delivery team where cooperation and communication are essential. When on the road, you will alternate roles as the driver or delivery partner, ensuring that the delivery process is smooth, efficient, and customer-focused. In the warehouse, you will be entrusted with preparing products to the highest standards, ensuring that every piece shipped is perfect. Your attention to detail and dedication directly impact customer satisfaction and brand reputation. Room & Board values team members who are genuine, physically active, safety-conscious, and customer-oriented. This position requires a confident, career-minded individual who thrives in an environment that values mutual respect, accountability, and teamwork.

The role is a full-time position, with a schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with occasional paid overtime. The workplace is located at 4600 Olson Memorial Highway in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $55,000 per year, equivalent to $24.04 to $26.44 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with salary guarantees and paid overtime opportunities. Room & Board offers benefits designed to support employees' holistic well-being, including vacation time, 401(k) matching, profit-sharing, and more, all within a culture that prioritizes respect, inclusion, and meaningful work. This job is an ideal fit for those looking to grow a meaningful career where their contributions matter and where their work life aligns with their values and lifestyle.
