Job Description
Salus Logistics is a dedicated Amazon Delivery Service Partner operating in the Gainesville, Florida region since August 2024. As part of the extensive network of delivery service partners that help Amazon fulfill its promise of speedy and reliable delivery, Salus Logistics contributes to the seamless delivery experience that Amazon customers expect. The company focuses on safety, teamwork, and positivity within its work environment, valuing employees who share these principles. Salus Logistics offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities, creating flexible options for those seeking to join the delivery workforce. The company's commitment to delivering excellent customer service is highlighted by its mantra of being "Customer Obsessed," striving not only to deliver packages but also to deliver smiles to customers with every visit.
The Delivery Associate role at Salus Logistics is essential in ensuring that Amazon packages arrive on time and in perfect condition to Amazon customers' doorsteps. Employees are entrusted with driving company-provided Amazon vans – no commercial driver's license (CDL) is required – throughout assigned routes within the Gainesville delivery area. Candidates must be comfortable using handheld devices such as smartphones to receive routing and delivery information, reflecting the reliance on technology within the delivery process.
Employees will navigate a variety of routes, handling deliveries under varying weather conditions. The physical aspect of the job includes loading and unloading packages, often weighing up to 50 pounds, and frequently getting in and out of the delivery van along with walking up and down stairs throughout the shift. Punctuality is critical to success in this role, with a strong emphasis on timely arrivals to begin each workday.
Salus Logistics offers its delivery drivers a competitive hourly wage starting at $20.50, with paid training and overtime opportunities available. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and paid time off, underlining the company’s dedication to supporting its employees’ health and wellbeing. Lunch and break periods are carefully scheduled – a 30-minute lunch break plus two 15-minute breaks during a full 10-hour shift – to ensure workers have adequate rest and recovery time.
Aside from the physical and technical requirements, Salus Logistics seeks team-oriented individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and can maintain a safety-focused attitude daily. The company welcomes applicants with no prior delivery experience but requires at least one year of driving experience and a valid driver’s license. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in the U.S. Safety pledges and reasonable accommodation considerations are part of the inclusive and supportive workplace environment.
This role is based entirely in Gainesville, Florida, with no remote work options, and applicants must be willing to relocate to or already reside in the area. Shift availability is predominantly day shifts with the possibility of working weekends. Being a part of Salus Logistics means joining a vibrant, fast-paced team dedicated to delivering excellent service within one of the fastest-growing sectors of the logistics industry.
Salus Logistics adheres to Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines, actively encouraging candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those with criminal records, to apply. The company values confidentiality and respects the privacy of all applicants throughout the hiring process.
