Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years related experience or training
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass DOT physical (CDL holders)
- Satisfactory driving record
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear
- Willingness to travel up to 95% of the time
- Ability to stay overnight in certain markets
- Ability to maintain punctuality and attendance
- Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections
- Ability to comply with company policies and protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass DOT physical for CDL holders
- Satisfactory driving record
- Delivery driving experience
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to operate computer or tablet
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
- Ability to calculate basic figures and apply algebra concepts
- Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Drives truck or van to deliver items to customer business
- Writes customer orders and instructions
- Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record
- Obtains and submits all receipts including gas receipts
- Informs regular customers of new products or services
- Listens to and resolves service complaints
- Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise
- Loads truck or van
- Issues or obtains customer signatures on receipts
- Maintains the inside of the truck or van clean and organized
- Follows company driving protocols and best practices
- Performs daily truck or van inspection
- Stays overnight in certain markets as required
- Provides high-quality customer service
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Acts as a role model within and outside the company
- Communicates regularly with supervisor
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management
- Reports to work on time and prepared
- Meets department productivity standards
- Performs other duties as required
