Job Description

Truly Good Foods is a second-generation family owned business with sales and distribution offices in Orlando, Atlanta, Washington DC, Reno, Dallas, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Established in 1977 by Jerry and Betty York, the company is now managed by their daughters Angela Bauer and Carolyn Bennett. Truly Good Foods proudly operates as a women-owned business, certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and recognized as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). The company embodies its commitment to quality through its SQF (Safe Quality Food), Kosher, and organic production facility located in Charlotte, NC, where nuts and seeds are roasted daily, and over 60 bulk snack mixes are blended. This facility also handles packaging and re-boxing to meet the diverse requirements of their customers.

Charlotte serves as the corporate headquarters and the hub for purchasing, accounting, sales, and marketing operations. With a product line exceeding 3,000 snack items, Truly Good Foods is positioned as a reliable and versatile snack partner for various business needs. The company values quality, customer satisfaction, and innovation, sourcing only the highest-quality ingredients to create flavorful and healthy snack options.

The Delivery Driver position at Truly Good Foods is integral to the company's distribution network. This role primarily involves driving a truck or van along an established route, particularly from Orlando to Miami Tuesday through Friday, with two overnight stays. The driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products, collecting signed invoices, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. In addition to facilitating deliveries, the driver interacts with customers to inform them about new products and services, resolve complaints, pick up empty containers or rejected merchandise, and ensure the vehicle is clean and organized. This position requires adherence to company driving protocols and performing daily inspections of the truck or van.

The role demands a professional who is punctual, able to manage time efficiently, communicate effectively with supervisors and customers, and uphold the company’s policies and values. Given the nature of the job, the delivery driver must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts up to 100 pounds, and be comfortable standing, walking, reaching, and other physical activities. The work environment is a busy shipping area with moderate to loud noise levels. Travel is extensive, potentially covering up to 95% of the time, with overnight stays required in some markets.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and be able to pass a DOT physical if holding a CDL. Experience with delivery driving, customer service orientation, and the ability to operate a computer or tablet are essential. Truly Good Foods offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, and a retirement plan. Yearly bonuses and safe driving bonuses are also provided to recognized and reward commitment and outstanding performance.

Joining Truly Good Foods means becoming part of a dedicated team that values respect, quality, and customer satisfaction, driven by a family-oriented and inclusive corporate culture. The hiring process includes application, review, interview, and hiring stages, designed to ensure the best match between candidates and company values. This position presents an excellent opportunity for drivers looking to advance their careers within a reputable and growing company that is committed to health, safety, and professional development.
