We are currently seeking a Part Time Non-CDL Truck Driver in Shreveport, LA, to join our dedicated team. This position offers hourly pay at $27.40, with a health stipend of $5.50 per hour, typically working 25 to 30 hours per week. Drivers enjoy weekly paychecks, paid training, and work schedules Monday through Saturday, with varying start times between 4:00 AM and 8:00 PM. This role involves delivering within a 25-mile radius of Shreveport using 26-foot straight trucks equipped with rolling carts and lift gates to facilitate freight handling.

The role requires drivers to operate safely and efficiently, adhering to federal and state regulations, and offering excellent customer service while ensuring the timely and secure delivery of US Mail freight. As part of Ryder's team, you will receive uniforms, a cell phone and boot allowance, and access to 24/7 roadside maintenance with company fuel provisions through over 800 nationwide maintenance facilities. Employees are considered the captain of their vehicle with full authority to make safety decisions.

Job Requirements

  • US Federal Level 2 background screen conducted by USPS
  • Selective service registration for males born after December 31, 1959 unless legally exempt

Job Duties

  • Safely drive a vehicle within designated routes adhering to safety regulations
