This particular role is for a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver, a position vital to US FOODS' delivery and customer service success. Starting at a competitive wage of $28.47 per hour with additional incentive pay, this full-time role operates primarily Monday through Friday, with early morning shifts beginning between 3:00am and 5:00am until the route is complete. The Delivery Truck Driver plays a crucial role in maintaining US FOODS' reputation by ensuring timely, accurate delivery of various products including meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies. Drivers are the face of the company to many customers and are expected to provide best-in-class service that reflects the company’s values of culture, work ethic, collaboration, and service.

The position requires drivers to handle repeated heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds, navigate multiple frequent stops during each shift, and deliver product under all weather conditions. Drivers verify deliveries with customers and may be responsible for collecting payments as required. The role demands reliability, integrity, and excellent communication skills to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • valid CDL A license with necessary endorsements
  • DOT medical certification
  • registration to FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • minimum six months commercial truck driving experience or three months foodservice delivery experience
  • ability to perform heavy lifting up to 80 pounds
  • ability to work early morning shifts Monday through Friday
  • ability to operate delivery vehicles safely
  • adherence to DOT regulations

Job Duties

  • Deliver best-in-class customer service
