Job Description

Our company is a leading distributor specializing in the efficient and dependable delivery of a wide range of products to retail customers, including grocery and beverage merchants. Established as a cornerstone in the industry, the company prides itself on delivering quality products on time while maintaining strong relationships with its partners and customers. Operating primarily in local regions, the company is dedicated to fostering a safe and professional work environment where drivers play an essential role in the supply chain process. As a respected employer, the company values diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion in its workforce, ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and respectfully.

The CDL Delivery Driver position is a full-time, non-exempt role that is vital to daily operations. Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products, unloading and loading merchandise, and ensuring all documentation, such as invoices and payments, are accurate and handled properly. With a focus on customer service, drivers represent the face of the company and are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer interaction. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work environments and demands physical stamina and adherence to safety regulations. Drivers operate company vehicles with a Class A Commercial Driver License and manage deliveries within a local travel area, avoiding long-haul or overnight journeys. The position offers competitive compensation packages that account for various factors specific to each candidate, along with benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, 401k savings plans, vacation, and paid holidays. Potential bonus incentives are also possible.

Responsibilities include ensuring products are properly checked in at customer locations, balancing invoices, verifying payments, following company policies and government regulations including DOT and state liquor laws, and continuously supporting company initiatives. Drivers inspect their vehicles before and after trips to maintain safety standards and work collaboratively with sales representatives and merchandisers to ensure smooth operations. The role is ideal for candidates who possess strong organizational and communication skills, a robust work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently. Candidates must also demonstrate the company's core values consistently and adhere to expected behaviors throughout their tenure. Overall, this position combines physical activity with interpersonal skills and responsibility for valuable company assets, making it a crucial part of the business's success.
