Job Description

Dassel's Energy is a propane company built by operators who truly understand what it means to provide excellent service to customers. The company has established a reputation for reliability and safety, ensuring that every delivery is conducted with the utmost professionalism and care. Their drivers work closely with service technicians, dispatch personnel, and local leadership teams to create a seamless operational flow that prioritizes timely service and strong customer relationships. As a company focused on the energy sector, especially propane supply, Dassel's Energy values safety above all and fosters a culture where every team member is supported, respected, and trusted to perform their job effectively. This propane company places emphasis on accountability and teamwork, understanding that these core values translate to superior customer service and operational success.

The driver role at Dassel's Energy is a critical part of the company’s operations and directly impacts customer satisfaction. This position requires dedication to safety, operational standards, and high levels of customer interaction. Within the first 90 days, a successful driver will demonstrate proficiency in completing safe, on-time deliveries, maintaining accurate inspections and paperwork, and building trust with customers by being a reliable and courteous point of contact. Drivers are expected to conduct daily vehicle inspections (DDVIR), manage deliveries independently while working in tandem with dispatch and service teams, and participate in an on-call rotation supporting extended or after-hours operations as required by business needs.

During the initial 30 days, new drivers will undergo comprehensive onboarding and safety training, including ride-alongs to learn delivery routes and procedures, vehicle inspections, and documentation accuracy. They will also gain familiarity with customer communication protocols and understand how to handle emergency or after-hours calls professionally. From day-to-day, the driver’s responsibilities include loading, securing, and unloading propane products safely while adhering strictly to all federal, state, DOT, and company safety regulations. Maintaining equipment and promptly reporting any maintenance issues are essential to ensure ongoing operational safety and efficiency.

Dassel's Energy offers competitive pay ranging from $25 to $30 per hour depending on experience, along with an impressive benefits package. The benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance options, access to Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts, participation in a 401(k) plan with company matching, tuition reimbursement opportunities, a propane discount, paid holidays, and paid time off. Additionally, drivers receive company-paid life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability coverage, as well as access to an Employee Assistance Program and optional supplemental life and short-term disability insurance.

At Dassel's Energy, the culture is grounded in respect, safety, and accountability. The company fosters an environment where employees feel supported and empowered to do their best work. This culture not only supports internal teamwork but also directly benefits customers by promoting consistent, reliable service delivery. As an equal opportunity employer, Dassel's Energy commits to fair hiring practices and complies with all federal employment laws. This ensures all applicants are informed of their rights and have an equal chance to contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
