US Foods is one of the largest foodservice distributors in the United States, boasting a rich history and a robust culture focused on promoting from within. As a company, US Foods is dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence in training programs, ensuring employees have the tools to succeed and grow in their careers. With a commitment to community and customer service, US Foods operates with a strong safety culture and provides comprehensive benefits to its associates, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more. The company prides itself on local excellence, particularly in leadership and operational management, and strives to create a supportive and collaborative environment for its workforce.

The US Foods Driver position located in Buda, TX, is an integral role within this leading foodservice company. This role is designed for individuals passionate about building a long-term career in a dynamic and essential industry. US Foods drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers, playing a vital part in maintaining the company’s strong reputation for reliability and service. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with a starting time between 1:00am and 3:00am, and a guaranteed weekly pay of $1,442.30, making it attractive for those seeking stable employment with competitive compensation.

As a US Foods Driver, you will be entrusted with safely operating trucks, ensuring timely deliveries and careful handling of food products. The role requires physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying loads between 20 to 80+ pounds throughout the duration of each shift. In addition to operating the vehicle, you will be expected to unload goods using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks and place items in designated customer storage areas. Accuracy in delivery verification and obtaining proper customer signatures are critical tasks, as well as occasional handling of collections and payments. Exceptional customer service skills are essential to represent the company professionally and foster strong customer relationships.

Safety is a cornerstone of the US Foods culture, and as such, drivers are required to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all equipment is in proper working order. The role demands comfort and resilience when driving and working outdoors in inclement weather conditions, frequently stopping more than ten times per shift. Registered drivers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements, and meet DOT qualifications. Experience-wise, candidates should have a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or at least three months specifically in food and beverage delivery. While not always mandatory, the ability to operate manual transmissions may be required at specific locations.

US Foods also emphasizes compliance with federal regulations, including registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, which is a secure database managing CDL drug and alcohol program violations. This compliance ensures the company maintains the highest safety and accountability standards for its drivers.

This role offers not only a pathway to a rewarding career but also a supportive environment that values hard work, integrity, and continuous professional growth. The compensation structure includes a base training rate supplemented by component pay based on miles driven, cases delivered, and stops completed, making the earning potential reflective of your effort and performance. US Foods’ Total Rewards program includes a variety of benefits designed to support the well-being and future security of its team members, making this opportunity valuable for those who want to make a significant impact in the foodservice industry and grow alongside a respected leader in the field.
