Job Description

MedTrans is a vital division of Medline Industries, LP, operating as a private fleet dedicated to the professional delivery of lifesaving medical products. Medline, recognized as a global leader in medical supplies and solutions, operates through a vast network comprising over 50 distribution centers across the United States, enabling efficient 1-day shipping to 95% of the country. The MedTrans fleet consists of more than 1,900 trucks, which are equipped with newer, well-maintained equipment to ensure safe and timely delivery. As part of this extensive and strategically managed operation, MedTrans drivers play a crucial role in supporting healthcare facilities by ensuring that essential medical products reach their destinations promptly and in perfect condition.

The role of Delivery Driver with MedTrans is central to the company's logistics arm, focusing specifically on local deliveries via parcel vans and straight trucks. This position offers a rewarding employment opportunity with an hourly wage ranging from $19.75 to $28.75, reflecting the candidate's location, experience, education, skills, and abilities. Employees in this role typically enjoy the benefit of being home daily, promoting a healthy work-life balance, particularly since the routes are local. This role demands a commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service excellence as drivers are the face of Medline for many customers.

Delivery Drivers at MedTrans are responsible for more than just moving products; they are tasked with securing, transporting, and delivering lifesaving medical equipment and supplies directly to multiple customer sites. This requires precise coordination with dispatch teams, adherence to federal and state transportation regulations, and the ability to handle various logistical challenges. Drivers are expected to perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain accurate travel and cargo logs, and engage with customers in a professional manner to provide a superior service experience. The role also demands strict observance of safety protocols including wearing designated safety equipment and performing safety checks on vehicles.

MedTrans drivers benefit from working with a modern fleet of vehicles designed to maximize comfort and efficiency. The company supports its employees with an affordable benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans, alongside generous paid time off and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match. In addition to competitive salaries and benefits, Medline fosters professional growth and development, ensuring that drivers have opportunities to advance their careers within a globally expanding industry leader. The company is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce where every employee feels a sense of belonging and respect, emphasizing ethical hiring practices and non-discrimination.

Overall, a career as a Delivery Driver at MedTrans is well-suited for individuals seeking stable employment within a respected healthcare supply company, where they can have a direct impact on patient care by helping deliver critical medical supplies safely and efficiently. The role offers both professional and personal rewards, underscored by a strong commitment to operational excellence, workplace safety, and employee wellbeing.
