Job Description
NHI Commercial is a dynamic company specializing in the delivery of construction equipment and materials for multi-family housing, new construction, and commercial projects. The company has established itself as a reliable partner within the construction industry, working closely with project managers and contractors to ensure that projects move forward efficiently and on schedule. NHI Commercial's focus on high-quality service and professionalism, especially in sensitive environments such as occupied housing units and active communities, underscores its commitment to excellence. As a growing company, it offers a work environment that values strong work ethics, attention to detail, and dependability among its staff. The role being offered is a full-time Delivery Driver position that promises a competitive pay range of $20 to $25 per hour based on experience.
The Delivery Driver at NHI Commercial will play a critical role in the operational success of construction projects by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of construction equipment and materials to various job sites. This position requires a licensed CDL Class A driver who is skilled in operating trucks and trailers while adhering to safety protocols specific to construction and transportation industries. The driver must be able to properly prepare orders and equipment for delivery, secure cargo, and perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs. The focus is not just on transportation but also on maintaining communication and documentation related to deliveries. The driver is expected to have a certain level of knowledge about basic construction materials and tools, enhancing their ability to assist effectively on-site.
Working independently or as part of a team, the delivery driver must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor, especially when working within occupied multi-family housing units or commercial environments. This role demands physical capability to lift over 50 pounds, stand, bend, and squat as necessary, and a good driving record compliant with DOT standards and other regulatory requirements. Additionally, basic computer skills, particularly familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, are necessary to maintain proper records and communications.
NHI Commercial offers comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, paid vacation, and a 401(k) plan, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee well-being and long-term career development. This full-time employment opportunity is ideal for a delivery driver who values a stable, rewarding role in a company that is integral to the construction process. Candidates seeking to join a respectful and professional work environment with a focus on safety and quality will find this role opportunities for growth and job satisfaction.
