The company prides itself on offering excellent training programs designed to help employees build successful and rewarding careers in the foodservice industry. At US Foods, the emphasis is not only on delivering quality products but also on creating a workplace environment where every team member is valued and supported.
The role of a Delivery Driver at US Foods is integral to their operational success and customer satisfaction. Delivery Drivers play a crucial role in ensuring that orders are safely and accurately delivered to customers on schedule, maintaining the high standards that US Foods is known for across the industry. This position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $35.65, with potential overtime compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K plans.
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating trucks to deliver food products to various customer locations. This includes unloading goods with tools such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, verifying delivery accuracy by obtaining signatures, and handling payments when necessary. In addition to delivery tasks, the role requires performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards. Delivery Drivers work closely with customers, providing a professional customer service experience that enhances the company’s reputation and builds lasting relationships.
Physical stamina is important for this role, as it involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy products, sometimes over 80 pounds, repeatedly during the shift. Drivers must also be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions and frequently stopping on their routes. Additionally, adherence to regulatory requirements such as registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse and holding a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements is mandatory.
US Foods recognizes the essential role that drivers play both as front-line representatives and as trusted partners in the delivery process. The company embraces a culture built on integrity, reliability, and collaboration, fostering an environment where drivers are respected and rewarded for their dedication. The job is designed not only to meet the delivery needs of customers but also to provide drivers with meaningful career opportunities in a stable and supportive company environment. Whether you are an experienced driver or looking to build a career in the food distribution industry, US Foods offers an attractive platform with great earning potential and the benefits necessary to support your success and well-being.
