We are currently looking for dedicated CDL-A Delivery Truck Drivers who want to join the US FOODS family. This role is an excellent opportunity for drivers eager to challenge themselves and grow their careers. As a Delivery Truck Driver, you will begin your journey with a competitive training base rate of $33.43 per hour. Upon completion of training, compensation transitions to a component pay system, which rewards drivers based on miles driven, cases handled, and stops made, alongside guaranteed hourly pay during any downtime. This pay structure offers the potential for increased earnings as you gain experience and take on more responsibilities.
As a US FOODS Delivery Truck Driver, you will lead with safety at the forefront, operating your route either locally or with layovers, determined by driver tenure. Customer orders are prepared on plastic pallets for easy unloading, and all route trailers come equipped with liftgates and powered pallet jacks to facilitate efficient and safe delivery. Your work schedule will start between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM, with options for four- or five-day schedules that include consecutive days off, and opportunities for extra paid work on the fifth and sixth days. The role also requires performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and adhering to all safety and operational protocols.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing 20 to 80+ pounds repeatedly throughout each shift and the readiness to work in varying weather conditions with frequent stops. At US FOODS, we maintain a strong safety culture and provide supportive leadership to help you succeed and thrive. Benefits start from day one and include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), life insurance, paid parental leave, and additional perks.
Joining US FOODS means becoming part of a company dedicated to your professional growth, safety, and well-being. Whether you are an experienced commercial driver or looking to build upon your existing skills, US FOODS offers a rewarding and dynamic environment that values your contributions and supports your career development in the food distribution industry.
