A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months specifically in food and beverage delivery is required. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred and may be mandated in certain locations.

The Department of Transportation requires all drivers to register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a secure online database that tracks drug and alcohol program violations among CDL and commercial learner’s permit holders.
