The role of a US Foods Delivery Driver is an essential position within the company, responsible for safely delivering food products and related items to customers. This full-time position offers an attractive hourly wage of $35.65, with possible overtime compensation, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, life insurance, and paid time off. As a US Foods Delivery Driver, you will operate company trucks to ensure timely and correct deliveries to various foodservice customers, carefully unload and place products in designated areas, verify delivery accuracy, and handle any collections when necessary. The job involves physical stamina, including lifting heavy loads and working in diverse weather conditions. Drivers must perform equipment inspections before and after trips to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. A valid CDL Class A license with appropriate endorsements, experience in commercial driving, and registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse are mandatory for candidates. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Register to the FMCSA clearinghouse
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
