Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Food Handlers Certificate (ServSafe or ANSI compliant)
- Culinary Arts Certificate preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willing to work standing and walking for extended periods
- Comfortable working with food allergens
- Ability to handle various motions such as bending and reaching
- Able to work in extreme temperatures and wet/dry conditions
- Willingness to use cleaning chemicals safely
- Ability to operate tools and equipment including knives and forklifts
- Must wear protective footwear
- Age 18 or older
Job Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Minimum of 2 years relevant department experience
- Advanced knowledge of deli department and products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational software
- Skilled in knife handling and safety procedures
- Strong leadership and employee development skills
- Effective problem solving and decision-making
- Demonstrated financial understanding
- Ability to support departmental flow and act as backup
- Strong prioritization and delegation skills
- Attention to detail and adherence to procedures
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly
- Maintain financial management principles for productivity and profit
- Supervise and delegate tasks to deli kitchen staff
- Assist with HR duties including scheduling and compliance
- Collaborate with Executive Chef on product design and menu planning
- Oversee production planning and quality control of HMR program
- Maintain product quality in display cases
- Place and inspect vendor orders
- Ensure proper storage and organization of deliveries
- Foster a professional work environment and employee development
- Create collaborative relationships with coworkers and vendors
- Respond promptly to phones and pages
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards
- Report safety hazards immediately
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Work all scheduled shifts and attend trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
