The company is proud to have earned a consistent spot on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list, demonstrating its commitment to employee well-being, professional growth, and community engagement. Wegmans operates more than 100 stores across the United States, with a wide range of culinary, retail, manufacturing, and distribution opportunities. Their goal is to help customers live healthier, better lives through food, emphasizing fresh, high-quality products and innovative meal solutions.

The role of a Food Service Worker in the Deli department at Wegmans is vital to achieving this mission. As a member of the Deli team, you will collaborate closely with your coworkers to ensure that the freshest deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods are available to customers. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food service, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in providing excellent customer service. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for accomplishing tasks such as slicing, packaging, and labeling food products accurately and efficiently. You will interact directly with customers, providing friendly assistance and answering questions promptly to help them make informed food selections. Maintaining clean, fresh, and well-stocked deli cases and self-service areas is another key aspect of the job. Additionally, you will help unload daily deliveries, organize inventory, restock displays and backroom coolers, and rotate products to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards.

Working at Wegmans offers a comprehensive and rewarding career path where employees are truly valued. The company offers competitive compensation packages, including paid time off, premium pay rates for overtime and holidays, health care benefits with robust coverage, a retirement plan with employer 401(k) match, and educational assistance through a generous scholarship program. The LiveWell Employee & Family program supports employees' emotional, financial, and work-life wellness, reinforcing the company’s people-first culture. Beyond the benefits, Wegmans is known for its supportive, inclusive culture, providing opportunities for continuous learning, mentorship, and growth. Whether you are part of the culinary team, retail associates, or specialty restaurant workforce, you can expect a dynamic, welcoming environment where your contributions make a difference.
