Job Requirements

  • minimum 18 years of age
  • flexible in floating assignments
  • ability to travel 80 percent of the time
  • adherence to Fresco y Mas policies and procedures
  • proficiency in English with reading, writing, and comprehension skills
  • legal authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background verification
  • supervisory experience of 0 to 3 years minimum
  • strong customer service skills
  • exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
  • basic math knowledge
  • capability to handle stressful situations
  • ability to operate bakery equipment per company guidelines
  • computer literacy related to department functions
  • possession or ability to obtain food safety certification within 180 days of hire

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • basic mathematics knowledge
  • strong customer service skills
  • exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities
  • ability to handle stressful situations
  • competency with bakery equipment operation such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and price guns
  • computer skills for department operations
  • food safety certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of placement
  • ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain such authorization
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check

Job Duties

  • create an environment where customers feel welcomed, important, and appreciated to enhance customer trust and loyalty
  • market the bakery department according to planned layouts
  • ensure daily conditions meet company standards for product availability, freshness, quality, and value
  • offer product samples and assist customers with product inquiries and suggestions
  • ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
  • maintain an efficient and organized method for receiving and processing customer orders
  • decorate bakery items according to customer specifications ensuring satisfaction with all products
  • use decoration kits and freehand decorating skills to prepare quality baked goods
  • perform daily and weekly operational tasks including communications and online training
  • bake products according to production guidelines and conduct product testing to ensure quality assurance
  • review product quality and expiration dates and take necessary actions
  • receive and unload delivery trucks and store products in designated areas
  • rotate and store products to ensure freshness and date control
  • replenish and efficiently use supplies to minimize waste and control costs
  • monitor inventory conditions and report discrepancies
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including temperature control and documentation
  • promote teamwork and communication among associates
  • guide and empower team members to meet or exceed department goals
  • comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and company policies
  • maintain safety standards including proper food handling and sanitation practices
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents to store management
  • enforce policy compliance related to wages, hours, and legal regulations
  • cultivate a culture of safety ensuring all associates are trained and equipped with personal protective equipment
  • perform additional related duties as assigned
