Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screenings and background checks
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Ability to follow instructions in English
Ability to travel to assigned stores approximately 80 percent of the time
Adherence to all Fresco y Mas policies and procedures
Ability to handle stressful situations
Basic knowledge of math
Competent in using bakery department computer applications
Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and price guns per company guidelines
Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within six months
Strong customer service skills
Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior experience in bakery decoration or related field is beneficial
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Basic math proficiency
Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
Competency with bakery-specific computer applications
Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification within 180 days of employment
Strong communication and motivational skills
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Fluent in English, Spanish preferred

Job Duties

Create a welcoming environment for customers to increase loyalty
Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items according to standard product offerings and customer requests
Process and bake merchandise following production guidelines
Maintain freshness and quality by rotating and inspecting products regularly
Receive and store deliveries appropriately
Operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, and scales following safety standards
Promote teamwork and communicate company policies effectively
Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations
Monitor inventory and product freshness to reduce waste
Train and empower associates to meet department goals
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the bakery area
Report safety hazards, accidents, and suspicious activities to management
