The role of Decorador de Pasteles (Cake Decorator) at Fresco y Mas embodies both creativity and operational excellence. This position is responsible for producing high-quality decorated bakery items, including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other baked goods, according to the company's standard product offerings. The Cake Decorator is expected to create visually appealing and fresh products using hand-decorating skills and decoration kits, ensuring that all finished goods meet the company’s consistency and quality guidelines. Additionally, this role involves managing inventory, monitoring product freshness, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of bakery items to maintain optimal quality. The individual must be proficient in operating bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, and cutters while adhering strictly to safety and food handling regulations.

Physically, the role demands standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads, often up to 100 to 150 pounds, as well as working in various environmental conditions including indoor, outdoor, cold, heat, and humid surroundings. The Cake Decorator will regularly handle repetitive motions with hands and feet, balance, climb, and engage in other physical activities consistent with bakery operations.

This role requires a minimum age of 18 and authorization to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background checks is required. The employee must have strong customer service skills, interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities, as well as competency with basic math and bakery-related computer applications. Certification or the ability to obtain Food Safety Certification within 180 days of hire is necessary. Travel to assigned stores is required for floating employees, accounting for approximately 80 percent of the time.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
