Buck & Honeys is a beloved restaurant located in Madison, Wisconsin, known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to providing exceptional hospitality. This establishment embraces a community-focused approach, blending quality food and friendly service to deliver an unforgettable dining experience. Buck & Honeys has built a strong reputation for its vibrant environment and dedication to fostering a positive connection between staff and guests. The company values teamwork and personal growth, offering a supportive workplace where employees can thrive in their roles while contributing to a memorable guest experience.
Currently, Buck & Honeys is seeking an enthusiastic and personable Daytime Host/Hostess to join their front-of-house (FOH) support staff. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the hospitality industry. The role involves the dynamic responsibilities of greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and takeout orders, and assisting with other support duties such as bussing tables, food running, or dock handling as needed. The position requires open and flexible availability, and candidates must be at least 16 years old to apply.
The Daytime Host/Hostess acts as a vital first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome that sets the tone for their dining experience. Beyond hosting duties, team members contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including regular restroom checks to ensure stock and hygiene standards are met. Employees enjoy a collaborative team environment, where communication, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued.
Buck & Honeys prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service with a personal touch, and the Daytime Host/Hostess is a key player in creating a positive, energetic atmosphere. Staff members are trained to handle restaurant software and applications, manage seating charts efficiently, and effectively support their coworkers. Physical stamina and adaptability are important due to the active nature of the job, which involves standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
This position offers flexible scheduling options, making it suitable for students or those seeking part-time work in a lively restaurant setting. New employees receive training and development opportunities, free uniforms, and access to wellness resources. Employee discounts provide added value, enhancing the overall compensation package. Buck & Honeys stands as more than just a restaurant – it is a community where staff are empowered to grow their skills, work collaboratively, and make lasting contributions to the guest experience. For those who value a fast-paced work environment with a strong team spirit and opportunities for personal and professional growth, Buck & Honeys offers an energizing workplace to launch or advance a hospitality career.
