Job Description

First Watch is a renowned leader in Daytime Dining, dedicated to serving made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch crafted from the freshest ingredients. With a presence that spans over 630 locations across 32 states, First Watch brings its unique culinary philosophy called "Follow the Sun" to the forefront, celebrating seasonal, high-quality flavors curated by award-winning chefs. Recognized for excellence in the dining industry, First Watch has secured multiple prestigious awards such as "Best Breakfast" and "Best Brunch," including being voted #1 Best Breakfast by Newsweek's Readers' Choice Awards in 2025. The company takes pride not only in its culinary offerings but also in its commitment to community impact, donating a portion of every kid's meal served to meaningful community causes—totaling approximately 2 million dollars to date.

At the heart of First Watch is its YOU FIRST philosophy, which places employees above all else. This philosophy nurtures an empowering, positive work environment where employees' happiness is paramount. Unlike typical food service environments, First Watch commits to a schedule free from night shifts, allowing team members to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Employees benefit from a chef-curated menu that promotes an engaging and educational work experience. The culture at First Watch emphasizes respect for each individual's contribution, especially within the dedicated Back-of-the-House team. New cooks entering this team receive customized training, designed to match their skill levels and comfort, ensuring they thrive and grow in their roles.

Joining First Watch as a Back-of-the-House team member means becoming part of a supportive, growth-oriented environment where effective communication and teamwork are vital. The role demands a passion for quality food, safety, and cleanliness in a fast-paced setting. While experience with cooking methods such as egg preparation is beneficial, it is not mandatory—the company supports every new cook’s journey and development. Employees engage with fresh ingredients and follow carefully crafted recipes, ensuring that every plate served meets the high standards First Watch is known for.

First Watch is deeply committed to inclusivity and equal opportunity employment. It actively encourages individuals with disabilities to explore opportunities with the company, providing reasonable accommodations when needed. This commitment reinforces the brand’s dedication to a diverse and supportive workforce.

Overall, this role offers a unique career opportunity in a vibrant and award-winning restaurant chain focused on daytime dining. The Job is full time with benefits and promises more than just a job—it offers a community, a culture of respect, and pathways to personal and professional growth.
