The Day Porter Lead role at SBM Management Services is a dynamic and pivotal position responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of assigned areas within commercial or institutional facilities. This role requires a hands-on leader who not only executes janitorial tasks but also provides guidance and support to custodial staff under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years related experience
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- may be required to have a valid driver's license
- completed all safety and task training certification
- may be required to be forklift certified

Job Duties
- Perform janitorial duties
- perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
- provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor
- assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed
- operate motorized cleaning equipment
- track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs
- schedule clean up and repairs as needed
- maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
- track and maintain supplies inventory
- assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
- perform quality, service, and safety inspections
- report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
- monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies
- correct at risk behavior, then report to the supervisor immediately
- provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement
