Job Description
SBM Management Services, LP is a well-established property management company known for its commitment to delivering high standards in building and facility management services. With a focus on integrity, teamwork, and compassion, SBM Management prides itself on cultivating a supportive environment that fosters professional and personal growth for its employees. As a leader in its industry, the company offers innovative employee programs, a supportive management structure, and extensive career advancement opportunities, which together contribute to a turnover rate that is significantly lower than the national average. SBM Management is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace, ensuring equal opportunity for candidates regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected statuses.
The Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) position at SBM Management is a key role designed to maintain cleanliness and orderliness within company-managed properties while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Custodian/CSR, the ideal candidate is a dependable and hardworking professional with strong interpersonal skills who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The role involves extensive custodial duties such as floor care, waste removal, surface cleaning, and light maintenance tasks, all carried out in compliance with company safety protocols and standards. Additionally, the CSR interacts directly with co-workers, supervisors, and customers, providing a professional appearance and demonstrating clear and effective communication.
This position is full-time with a Monday to Friday schedule, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.00 to $18.00. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of custodial tasks that include floor vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning glass, windows, mirrors, and maintaining waste disposal systems. Light maintenance duties also form part of the role, such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies. The job demands adherence to safety regulations, the correct use of personal protective equipment, and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions carefully.
The CSR position also involves some event-based duties like cleaning drop-in desktops, organizing supplies in janitorial closets, restocking restrooms and break rooms, and spot-cleaning furniture and carpets. The role requires physical mobility to transport equipment like chairs and tables and to manage cleaning and maintenance of elevator areas and common shared spaces. SBM Management values employees who can demonstrate good judgment, help train or guide newer staff, and manage various cleaning and maintenance responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Overall, working at SBM Management offers a fulfilling career path for those who are dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness while ensuring excellent customer service within a team-oriented environment. Employees enjoy a respectful workplace that encourages personal development and values contributions toward the company’s ongoing growth and success.
