As a Day Porter, your responsibilities will encompass vacuuming classrooms, offices, hallways, and doormats, as well as sweeping and mopping floors, stairs, and corridors. You will sanitize bathrooms and locker rooms by thoroughly cleaning sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and stall walls, and ensure these spaces are stocked with necessary paper products. Additional duties include wiping down desktops, countertops, and classroom sinks, extensive cleaning of windows, walls, light fixtures, furniture, and lockers, as well as dusting all pertinent surfaces such as furniture, computers, and televisions. Maintaining cleaning equipment in proper working condition and assisting with minor maintenance like replacing light bulbs and painting are critical elements of this role. The Day Porter is also responsible for safely removing snow and ice during winter months and supporting the setup and cleanup after various school activities. The role demands flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within a team environment while adhering strictly to safety standards.

This position offers competitive compensation at $18 per hour and benefits eligibility for all employees working 30 or more hours per week.
