Resurrection Christian School (RCS) is a distinguished private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado. The Day Porter role at Resurrection Christian School is a vital position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the entire campus. As a Day Porter, your responsibilities will encompass vacuuming classrooms, offices, hallways, and doormats, as well as sweeping and mopping floors, stairs, and corridors. You will sanitize bathrooms and locker rooms by thoroughly cleaning sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and stall walls, and ensure these spaces are stocked with necessary paper products. Additional duties include wiping down desktops, countertops, and classroom sinks, extensive cleaning of windows, walls, light fixtures, furniture, and lockers, as well as dusting all pertinent surfaces such as furniture, computers, and televisions. Maintaining cleaning equipment in proper working condition and assisting with minor maintenance like replacing light bulbs and painting are critical elements of this role. The Day Porter is also responsible for safely removing snow and ice during winter months and supporting the setup and cleanup after various school activities. The role demands flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within a team environment while adhering strictly to safety standards.

Job Requirements
- Ability to follow directions and operate cleaning equipment
- Skilled at oral and written communication
- Skilled at basic math
- Knowledge of cleaning methods
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, such as buffers, shampooer, vacuums and auto scrubber
- Able to operate a variety of equipment necessary for building cleanliness
- Able to manage multiple priorities and multi-task with frequent interruptions
- Able to work in a team environment and works effectively with other departments to accomplish goals
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must familiarize yourself with safety rules of your job and participate in all safety training
- Must wear personal protective equipment whenever required
- Ask for assistance if the job requires more than one person
- Report any unsafe working conditions or safety problems to your supervisor
- Secure the unsafe area with cones, fencing, floor signs, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work place
- Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environment
- Some exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, steam, as well as controlled and hazardous substances
- Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Stoop, kneel, bend, reach and pick up or move objects weighing up to 55 pounds
- Possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience related to building maintenance and security function
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license
- Must have excellent planning skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to adapt to changing environments and priorities
- Self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills
Job Duties
- Vacuum classrooms, offices, halls and doormats

- Maintain cleaning equipment
- Replace light bulbs, paint and other minor maintenance needs
- Move furniture or equipment as needed
- Strip, wax, and buff floors
- Shampoo carpet extensively
- Remove snow from entryway and apply ice melt on steps or entryway
- Help set up and clean up after activities
- Empty trashcans, pencil sharpeners and clean white boards
- Secure building
- Other duties as assigned
