With a robust team of 80,000 professionals, TEKsystems partners with over 6,000 clients, including 80 percent of the Fortune 500, to deliver innovative solutions that drive business value. As part of the Allegis Group, TEKsystems offers comprehensive full-stack technology services, talent services, and real-world applications, collaborating with progressive leaders to foster change and growth in today’s dynamic technological landscape.
This position is an entry-level contract role based in Fairless Hills, PA, offering a competitive hourly pay rate of $25.00. The role primarily focuses on providing end-user technical support, addressing a wide range of issues through researching, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems efficiently. The candidate will respond to technical support requests received via telephone, email, or direct personnel inquiries, ensuring that issues are properly documented and tracked until resolved in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is expected to have an associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field along with 0-3 years of experience. This role requires a foundational knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT or technical support domain. Operating under close supervision, the candidate will follow established guidelines and instructions without typically needing to exercise independent judgment. This position reports directly to a supervisor or manager, offering valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Key technical skills needed include cabling and proficiency in Excel. Additional responsibilities involve working with low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, data centers, and possibly supporting operations in construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments. Physical aspects of the job include safely lifting and moving up to 35 pounds repeatedly, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders for extended periods. Candidates should be comfortable working in various temperature conditions and equipped to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to succeed in this role. Candidates must be adept at reading and following work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Basic computer skills are necessary for documentation, ticketing, and inventory management, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet operational deadlines is critical. The role also involves safely maneuvering server racks, carts, and equipment as part of a team.
The position is fully onsite, promoting direct collaboration with other IT professionals and support teams. Benefits, subject to eligibility and job classification, include medical, dental, and vision insurance, critical illness, accident, and hospital coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan with pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions, voluntary life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, health spending accounts, transportation benefits, employee assistance programs, and paid time off including vacation and sick leave.
TEKsystems is committed to equal opportunity employment, considering all applicants without regard to race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any legally protected status. The company embraces diversity and inclusion as core values, supporting an environment where every team member can thrive and contribute effectively.
