This position offers an exciting opportunity to join BBJ | La Tavola’s dynamic team as a customer service liaison responsible for connecting customers with the company’s products and services. In this role, you will engage with clients nationwide through multiple communication channels including online chat and phone calls. You will assist customers by answering questions, suggesting product and service solutions tailored to specific event needs, and processing orders efficiently to maintain high customer satisfaction levels. The position requires a detail-oriented approach to handling customer accounts, managing payments, and resolving any service issues by providing timely and effective solutions.
This role is vital in supporting both the customer and sales teams by preparing quotes, contracts, and credit memos while helping showroom visitors select appropriate linen choices that complement their event designs. You will be at the frontline of client interaction, ensuring service excellence and fostering long-term relationships based on trust and quality experience.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, multitask efficiently, and be comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, and Teams, is essential. Experience in the event or hospitality industries is advantageous but not required. Flexibility to occasionally work evening or weekend shifts on a rotation basis is also important to meet customer needs during peak times.

Job Requirements
- A history of providing exceptional customer service
- Friendly, professional etiquette and courtesy in interfacing with customers on the telephone
- Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
- Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop rapport with customers over the phone
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Requires attention to accurate detail and must be able to multitask
- Ability to analyze situations and make decisions in a timely manner
- Excellent documentation and recordkeeping abilities
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, TEAMS, etc.)
- Experience working in the Event or Hospitality industries a plus
- Ability to work occasional evening shifts and/or weekend shifts (rotation schedule)

Job Duties
- Service clients that participate in online chat and field questions
- Answer phone calls to assist customers calling in with inquiries
- Support Sales team that includes putting together quotes/contracts, processing credit memos, and following up on any necessary items above
- Assist showroom customers on selecting linen choices for their event
- Recommend product offerings or services to clients by collecting event information and analyzing event design needs
- Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers
- Opens customer accounts by recording account information
- Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, following up to ensure resolution
- Ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction
