The Assistant Store Director role is an integral leadership position within Erewhon Market's dynamic retail environment. This full-time management role offers an hourly wage ranging from $27 to $35 based on experience and provides an attractive benefits package including 50% off organic meals daily, 20% off in-store purchases, 401(k) with 4% match, paid vacation, health benefits, and potential bonuses. As an Assistant Store Director, you will assist the Store Director in overseeing store operations with a focus on meeting productivity and sales goals. Responsibilities include forecasting business performance, driving traffic through community events, managing staff training and hiring, upholding company standards of appearance and merchandising, controlling inventory, and enforcing health, safety, and security policies. This position demands strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to solve problems effectively, and a passion for the health and wellness industry. Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a grocery assistant store manager or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to recruit and train staff
  • Commitment to uphold company standards and policies
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a grocery assistant store manager or equivalent management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizer and problem solver with strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate confidently with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities

Job Duties

  • Assist store director and store assistant director in responsibility of the store
  • Forecast/reforecast business, focusing on productivity to meet sales goals
  • Identify opportunities to drive traffic into the store through community events
  • Help store manager identify training needs and provide ongoing training opportunities to the team
  • Assist in hiring to the needs of the business, actively recruiting to fill open positions quickly
  • Ensure company standards are met for store and associate appearance at all times
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all merchandise calendar direction, campaigns, and sales promotions in a timely manner
  • Ensure all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times
  • Control inventory stock levels and reorder as necessary within budget
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and security
  • Manage and control shrink
  • Perform other duties as directed by upper management
