Job Description

Scissors & Scotch is a unique establishment that combines the art of hair grooming with the relaxed atmosphere of a lounge bar. Located in a vibrant community, Scissors & Scotch offers a refined experience where clients can enjoy expert haircuts and styling while sipping on craft drinks or coffee. The business operates as a hybrid between a barber shop and a boutique lounge, catering to customers looking for quality grooming services and a welcoming social environment. The team at Scissors & Scotch is passionate about delivering top-notch service, ensuring clients leave feeling refreshed and valued.

The role of Customer Service Associate (Lounger) at Scissors & Scotch is an exciting and dynamic position that plays a crucial part in the overall customer experience. Known for being the air traffic control of the shop, the Lounger orchestrates multiple responsibilities that ensure the barbers and stylists can perform without interruption or delay. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking in a lively, customer-focused setting. A blend of low-volume bartending and receptionist duties, the Lounger manages client appointments, greets and serves clients, takes drink orders, and maintains the schedule flow with an expert eye on timing and client satisfaction.

The Customer Service Associate is not only responsible for the behind-the-scenes coordination but also for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in the lounge. With duties ranging from booking and rescheduling appointments to whipping up signature drinks and handling membership questions, this role requires exceptional communication skills and a friendly demeanor. The Lounger embodies professionalism, hospitality, and attentiveness, making every client feel like a valued guest. Scissors & Scotch offers a position that is both fun and responsible, providing an opportunity to be part of a team that values creativity, customer care, and community building. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour plus commission, reflecting the importance of this role in enhancing the customer journey and supporting the grooming staff effectively.
