Job Description

Wawa, Inc. is a well-established and beloved convenience store and gas station chain with a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Known for its commitment to quality service, community involvement, and innovative food offerings, Wawa has become a trusted name for millions of customers. The company emphasizes a friendly, inclusive work culture where Associates are viewed as the heart of the business. This approach not only promotes teamwork and a positive atmosphere but also drives the company’s ongoing success and reputation as a great place to work and shop. Wawa has a rich history of providing fresh food, built-to-order hoagies, specialty beverages, and fuel services while maintaining excellent customer relationships and community support initiatives.

The role of a Customer Service Associate (CSA) at Wawa is more than just a job — it is an opportunity to be a vital part of a caring team dedicated to excellence in customer service. As a CSA, you become the friendly face that welcomes customers, ensuring every interaction is warm, courteous, and efficient. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and who take pride in contributing to a store’s cleanliness, product freshness, and overall customer satisfaction.

The CSA role involves a variety of tasks including greeting customers, preparing food items like breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, and specialty drinks with high standards of quality and care, as well as operating the cash register, handling payments, activating fuel and gift cards, and verifying IDs for restricted products. CSAs also play a crucial role in maintaining store appearance and safety by following company policies and regulations, managing inventory on shelves, and completing housekeeping duties such as cleaning and organizing. Wawa values Associates who are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and capable multitaskers.

This is an hourly-paid role, with wages ranging from $15.50 to $19.25 based on factors such as location, experience, and the specific position within the store. Additionally, Wawa offers a $1.50 shift differential for those working between midnight and 6 a.m., recognizing the effort of late-night and early-morning shifts. Beyond hourly pay, Wawa is committed to its employees' long-term success through an extensive benefits package and career development opportunities. The company fosters an environment where Associates can grow their skills, gain valuable work experience, and open doors to future careers within the organization.

Wawa prides itself on being an inclusive and equal opportunity employer, committed to treating all Associates and applicants fairly and respectfully without discrimination. The company actively supports diverse hiring and promotes a work environment free from bias regarding race, gender, age, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic. Further, Wawa ensures reasonable accommodations in the hiring process to provide equal access to all candidates. Joining Wawa as a Customer Service Associate means becoming part of a winning team where you can contribute your energy and talents while enjoying a supportive workplace with meaningful benefits, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for advancement. If you're ready to be part of a community that values associates and customers alike, Wawa invites you to apply and soar to new heights with them.
